We collect information you provide when submitting a listing (name, email, asset details), creating an account (name, email, password), or communicating with matched parties. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to operate and secure the platform.
Your information is used to: match you with buyers or sellers, operate and improve the platform, communicate match notifications and alerts, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Contact details are only shared with matched counterparties after both parties consent and (for Members) after NDA signing. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email, payment processing) under strict confidentiality agreements.
Our buyer discovery engine collects publicly available posts from Reddit, eBay, Facebook Marketplace and collector forums. This data is processed to identify buyer intent and is used only within the Aureum Vault platform. We do not contact individuals scraped from public platforms without their consent.
Account data is retained while your account is active and for 7 years after closure for legal and compliance purposes. Buyer signals are deleted after 90 days. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at private@aureumvault.com.au.
We use session cookies for login functionality and security (CSRF protection). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging in.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at private@aureumvault.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, bcrypt/Argon2 password hashing, parameterised database queries, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
